The impact of workplace bullying can be significant and long-lasting, leading to decreased job satisfaction, decreased productivity, and negative effects on mental health. PTSD is now a real issue in the workplace and a growing concern, mainly through limited leadership tactics, and increased toxic behaviours due to stress and pressure. It can impact a person's daily life and relationships. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance behaviours, and hyperarousal.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Individuals with PTSD can be more vulnerable to bullying due to their unique challenges, such as difficulty with concentration, memory, and emotional regulation. Specifically, workplace bullying that targets individuals with PTSD.īullying in the workplace is often driven by power imbalances, personality clashes, or simply a lack of understanding and empathy.
